What is PMConverter?

PMConvert is an easy, straightforward tool to convert your ProTrack files to an Excel worksheet. All information of the project will be shown in different sheets and you can choose out of 12 different visualizations to visualize the status of your project!

PMConverter was originally developed in the context of a project for the Project Management course at Ghent University. We noticed there was a need for a tool to convert ProTrack files to Excel and vice versa. So we decided to continu developing and maintaining the product as an open source project.

Start

Open our application and press "Start".

Step 1:

Select the file you wish to convert and specify to which file format you wish to convert.
Click on "Next" to continue

Step 2:

In case you are converting to Excel, you can choose 12 different visualizations to control the status of you project. Just select the type of visualization you want and specify the required parameters. Click on "add" and the chosen visualizations will be added to the list on the left.
The settings of your chosen visualizations can be saved (click on "Export") and can be used later on (click on "Import").
Click on "Convert" to continue.

Converting

The file will then be converted and optionally, visualizations will be generated. This can take a while.

Converted

Your file is correctly converted! You can find it on the place indicated on the screen.
Click on "Restart" to convert another file.
